Vida en Sombras (1949) was the only film made by the Catalan filmmaker Lorenzo Llobet Gracia. It’s considered one of the most astonishing films about the power of cinema and the importance of cinephilia. In this scene, the protagonist returns after a long time to a movie theatre, once his most favourite place in the world, for a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca (1940).
